Join in City Bike Month Events

Here are some opportunities Fairfax City asked MWCA to share with you.

This Friday, May 20, 6-9 a.m. – Stop by Old Town Square to help celebrate Bike to Work Day!

  • Where: Old Town Square (University Dr & North St)
  • When: Friday, May 20, 6-9am
  • Why: Free t-shirts, snacks, and swag; great raffle prizes from local businesses like High Side, Ornery Beer, and Twins Ace Hardware; bike tune-ups from Trek Bikes; and lots of fun!

If you haven’t already registered, there is still time! Walk-ups are also welcome (though the t-shirts are only available to registered participants).

This Saturday, May 21, 10 a.m. – Join a community bike ride through the neighborhoods around Fairfax Circle!

  • Where: Scout on the Circle (start and end)
  • When: Saturday, May 21, 10 a.m. (start time)
  • Why: Explore existing and planned bike routes to Vienna Metro and through the city!

Everyone is welcome, though children must be accompanied by parents, and helmets and waivers are required. Participants should be comfortable biking on the street.

Now through June 1: Play Bike Month Bingo!

Complete self-guided activities and mark off squares on your Bike Month Bingo card any time during Bike Month. If you complete at least one row and return your card to the Transportation Division by June 1, you’ll be entered into a prize raffle!
