City details street name input process

As previously noted, the City is requesting public input on new street names through September 30. The option to contribute is still available through the online survey on Engage Fairfax. Additionally a paper form is now available. View the PDF here or pick one up at the Fairfax Museum and Visitor Center. Dropoff locations for completed forms are listed with addresses on the form itself: The Fairfax Museum and Visitor Center or City Hall.

The City Council street naming subcommittee will review suggestions to ensure they follow naming criteria as listed on the form and survey. Then names names will be provided to councilmembers to vote on (tentatively scheduled for the Nov. 29 City Council meeting).

Street names will not change until January 1, 2023.
