Looking for a great way to keep perspective and focus upon gratitude in this challenging season, while also supporting our less fortunate Fairfax area neighbors in a meaningful way?
The Mosby Woods Turkey Trot & Sidewalk Stroll — a celebration of our families, our health, our community, our beautiful neighborhood, our neighbors, our friends, and all that we are so thankful for — is a FREE and fun “pre-feast” event on Thanksgiving morning, November 25.
This year’s event will be held in person, with extra spacing to permit comfortable distancing, as well as other appropriate precautions to help ensure all can feel safe and comfortable. The event schedule likewise will permit everyone involved to be back in the kitchen at home before 10am.
If you are a walker or runner of any age, consider coming out for this year’s 5K or kids’ 1K events through our beautiful neighborhood. All participants are guaranteed a finisher medal, bib (number), and a healthy serving of community!
Signup is ongoing. Like last year, the only “virtual entry fee” for participants is one or more non-perishable food items, which will all be donated to Food For Others locally to directly benefit the less fortunate families among us.
