RESCHEDULED to HALLOWEEN DAY due to weather!
In order to keep the tradition alive in this abnormal year, we are taking a creative approach and re-thinking the walking parade that is normally held. The 42nd Annual Mosby Woods Halloween Parade will be by car!
This year, we’re sponsoring an entertaining car parade that the neighborhood children can enjoy as spectators. In order to make that happen, we need enthusiastic community participation! So how can you get in on the action?
If you’d like to decorate your vehicle in the Halloween spirit, or have an interesting or fancy vehicle that would be fun to display in the parade, you can sign up for one of the 15 car slots here. The number of slots is limited in order to keep the parade to a manageable length for snaking through the neighborhood streets, but we don’t expect that to limit the creativity of the participants.
If you have an adult character costume (superhero, princess, book character, etc.), email us at membershipmw@gmail.com to either loan your costume or volunteer to participate in the parade as a costumed rider. Also, if you have an open-top vehicle (or sun roof) that will enable a character to safely wave to spectators, please let us know.
Finally, get your family into the spirit, put together your most fun costumes, and cheer on the parade from your location-of-choice in the neighborhood. We’ll begin at the pool at 3 but don’t want a crowd! We’ll publish the parade route closer to the event so you can figure out the best place to be while also staying socially-distant from neighbors.
