Our Annual Turkey Trot & Sidewalk Stroll is Coming Up! For the fifth year in a row, MWCA is helping sponsor this fun, local, neighborhood-organized event which brings hundreds of us together as a community for a great time — and a great cause.
Join us Thanksgiving morning, November 23, at the pool for a 5K run/walk as well as a 1K kids’ run through our beautiful neighborhood. The 1K kids run starts at 8:30 and the 5K starts at 9:00. It’s a terrific way to build up an appetite for your holiday feasts while getting into the spirit of generosity, family, friends, and gratitude for all that we are fortunate to enjoy.
Participation in the Turkey Trot is FREE… the only “entry fee” is a donation of non-perishables to support the Food For Others food bank in nearby Merrifield, which provides deeply needed assistance to our less fortunate neighbors right here in Fairfax.
